Recently, my wife went to a business trip in Colorado and I went along as a dutiful husband. The destination: Colorado Springs and the Broadmoor Golf Club. I did not take my clubs because I was leaving a day before her but the schedule opened and I found myself with a day to have fun. I called the pro shop and got a tee time on the West course and was grateful for the opportunity.
1757 Golf Club is located conveniently to Dulles International Airport. I bring this up as a plus for any aircraft spotting fans. The back of the course is on the approach end of the airport.
There are some golf courses that show you how golf should be played. Kiawah’s Turtle Point is one of those courses. Beautiful from top to bottom. What a day!
GWBAA had a record setting 2019 Golf Classic. Check out tips and events we enjoyed to make it a great day on the course for charity.
Hopewell Valley Golf is a fun course that no one knows about yet. If you are in central Jersey, peel off and give this course a run before everyone finds out about it.
English Turn Golf Club offers a great round of golf for those visiting New Orleans and want to escape the city for a while. I really enjoyed this course and all it had to offer, even #15.
Rose Hill Golf Club is another course in the Bluffton SC corridor that offers a fun round of golf with the fastest golf cart I have ever driven.
I have yet to play the famous international golf courses that are treated with the reverence of holy pilgrimages. Yet, the courses I play on a regular basis contain some holes that pop in my mind when I think of a course. There is something special about these golf holes that earned them rent free space in between my ears.
Callaway’s HeavenWood 7 is an unique club but it might have what it takes to help you on long par 3s.
Golf and cigars are a great way to enjoy a day on the course. It is not for everyone but I find it is the accent on a great day.
